As someone who loooooves to eat almost anything, I learn to cook much too late. And I’ve discovered that the best place to get recipes is the internet! Google just about anything you would like to cook and…voila..you got it! What a magic!

This site is meant to repay my debts to the karmic world of the internet (if there is such a thing). I have received (and still am), therefore I must give Oh, it is also meant to be a medium for me to practice my awkward English. So please, please, please, do not hesitate to correct mistakes in grammar, phrase, vocabulary, as well as mistakes in the recipes I share, if you find any (and you WILL, I guarantee you)

So for you, fellow novice in the cooking and baking world, I present you this humble cooking blog, my own attempts to approach the divine art of cooking and baking.

P.S.: Lazy as I am and with limited resources, I always try to find the simplest and cheapest recipes (of course, I still have minimum taste requirement for the result). So here are my collections of simple and cheap food.

Spaghetti Saus Ngawur

Atas request adikku, ini spaghetti yang kubuat dengan ngawur beberapa waktu lalu (tapi tentu saja, kalau Anda membuatnya berdasarkan resep ini, spaghetti Anda tidak layak disebut Spaghetti saus ngawur :-P )

Bahan-bahan:

Spaghetti instant, direbus sesuai petunjuk

Saus Ngawur

1 buah bawang bombai ukuran sedang, cincang

1 buah tomat ukuran agak besar, potong kecil-kecil

ini tomat dan bawang bombai setelah dicincang

sekitar 200gr jamur (ga tau jamur apa, tapi bentuknya kayak gini nih)

sekitar 200gr daging sapi cincang

sedikit oregano dan/atau bumbu italia lainnya (kemarin kukasih thyme juga hihihi)

garam secukupnya.

merica secukupnya

minyak atau margarin untuk menumis

Cara membuat Saus:

1. Tumis cincangan bawang bombai hingga harum dan agak layu.

2. Masukkan potongan tomat dan jamur hingga agak layu juga

3. Masukkan daging sapi cincang, aduk hingga berubah warna.

4. Masukkan oregano, garam, dan sedikit merica (sejujurnya, aku ga yakin apakah waktu itu aku memakai merica..tapi kayaknya pakai :-P )

5. Cicipi, pastikan tomat sudah cukup matang (rasa asamnya sudah berkurang/berubah) dan rasa saus sudah mirip saus spaghetti (biasanya sih kalau belum mirip spaghetti harus ditambahi bumbu-bumbu italia itu..)

Penyajian:

taruh spaghetti di piring, siram saus di atasnya…

Clear Spinach Soup (a.k.a. Sayur Bening)

Ingredients:

Basic: Fresh spinach leaves (a bunch or two), use the leaves only, rinse with water

3-4 cloves of shallot, peel and chop thinly

A pinch of Salt and sugar

Extra spice (omit it and you still have a decent soup, add it and you have more fragant and tasty soup) :

2 cm of fingerroot, peel and chop thinly

1 Indonesian bay leave

Extra vegetable (optional, check your fridge or garden or your neighbor’s garden)

1 small tomato, sliced

1 small carrot, sliced

1 ear of corn, husked, cut the kernels off or just cut the ear into several parts.

Directions:

  1. Put the chopped shallot (as well as the fingerroot, and bay leave if you use them) in a pan of water, bring it to a boil
  2. Put in the spinach leaves, add the salt and sugar. Wait until the spinach leaves turn soft (but not too soft), taste it. If the taste of different ingredients have already blended in one unified delectable taste, remove the soup from fire. Oh, don’t forget to turn off the stove. Serve the soup immediately.
